Any port to IPad or Mac should the ability to play the user developed mods.
The only reason the Mac doesn’t takes mods is that it doesn’t look for them.

Since the IPad allows Kindle and other apps to access external files, so should PzC[2].
If the mods were enclosed in a wrapper, It should be able to meet Apples sandbox restrictions.
